My mission is help struggling readers thrive and thriving readers read voraciously. "Any book that helps a child form a habit of reading, to make reading one of his deep and continuing needs, is good for him." -Maya Angelou. Acquiring these books, requested by my readers and unable to be funded by the school, will grow thriving readers. These titles represent high interest-low vocabulary choices, information text, picture books and chapter books written by #OwnVoices and award winners. Upon receipt, they will be celebrated in our school-wide morning announcements and borrowed by eager students. They will be recommended, shared and loved.
