These materials will make a huge difference in my students' learning because our current classroom library is very limited. As a second year teacher, I do not have many read aloud books in my room and am just beginning to build my library. My students enjoy story time, but I feel that I am lacking the resources to meet their needs. I have chosen many social emotional books for my project, because this is an important skill that we focus on in the preschool setting. Students' learn these important skills through story time and visuals that these picture books provide. Most students in my classroom, and building wide, do not have the opportunity to listen to read aloud stories in their own home. My hope is to give them this opportunity and enhance their learning experience through these books.
