I want to take our lab to next level by bringing in more robust and diverse technologies to integrate into all of the grade-levels. In order to bring the "T", or technology, into the STEAM room, we need some actually technology! Our school shares computer carts and therefore there are no computers designated for the STEAM room. Between homeroom lessons, testing, and other events at the school, it has been very difficult to incorporate the computers in STEAM. By adding iPads to our classroom, we get the best of both computers and tablets by having access to the same apps as are on standard computers but opening the door wide open to more specific apps and coding software that are classroom friendly. We can integrate new robots, take pictures and record notes during various engineering projects, share information and have engaging dialogue with peers, and so much more - the sky's the limit!
