Students will be learning how to care for and play the ukulele. I will be teaching them how to read and play basic cords first. I also plan to teach how to play melody lines. Students will also learn different strumming patterns. When playing an instrument, you use almost every part of your brain. It also fosters creativity. Studies have shown it to increase memory and reduce stress. There are many benefits to learning to play an instrument. There is also no better way to keep students involved than to have them actively making music. My students an I would greatly appreciate any help with this project.
