Two Lifetime Front Court 50" Portable Basketball Hoops will allow my students to be able to play full court, five on five. Right now, we only have one basketball hoop for the entire school to use. These basketball hoops will be used for teaching two separate, two-week lessons. This unit would not be successful, or even possible, with our current situation. Not only will the school PE teachers be able to use them for class, the schools girls and boys basketball teams can use them for school sports. The school teams have to travel and rent basketball courts to practice on because of our lack of available hoops. Finally, they will also be utilized for recess and a weekly club that students can sign up for. With both hoops we can easily accommodate our 7th and 8th grade PE classes. In those classes students will have a 6-1 ratio of students to basketball hoop. Then it would allow us to have one full court game going while the other students are playing a half court game or working on skills. The basketball hoops are adjustable as well. If there is a group of students who need modifications or are not successful on a 10 foot hoop, the hoop can be lowered so that the students can be successful.
