As part of our Community Helpers Summer School Class, students from the ACHM School District will be creating care packages and sending them overseas. The care package will include some personal care items and much missed treats. Students will also be sending some of their art work and letters to our troops in these care packages. Along with creating care packages for our troops, students will also be creating care packages for children who are hospitalized. These care packages will contain some items to make their stay more comfortable. In creating these care packages, students will not only be making the difference in the life of someone else, they will learn it is the simple things that can truly make a difference. We tend to take many things in our lives for granted, and through this project, students will learn to be grateful for the things they have, while being thankful to those around them!
