Science students will hatch, raise, and release native brook trout into the local Pennsylvania streams! First, we will need to complete the setup of the aquarium I have donated to the classroom. This is where our need for equipment comes in. Future biologists will monitor and adjust water temperature and water chemistry to ensure the health of the animals. Future engineers will learn by assembling and maintaining the filtration, cooling, and lighting equipment necessary for success. All students will learn about the brook trout's native habitat and what it needs to thrive in the wild, as they plan and take a field trip to release the full grown young trout into the wild.
