Our current classroom has one large table, 16 desks, and 2 comfy chairs. It does not seem to be working for our purposes. We try to encourage positive peer interactions while increasing productivity and focus. The purchase of these tables and wobble chairs will allow us to replace the typical desk option in the classroom. Physical activity activates the brain, improves cognitive function, and is correlated with better academic performance. Allowing our students to move slightly in their seats will allow them the chance to increase their learning while reducing overall distractions. Requiring students to share a table will also help them learn the social skills needed to be successful in the future. We are very excited about the possibilities this would offer our students!
