With the necessary funding for Teachers pay Teachers, I will purchase a full year's worth of yearbook/journalism curriculum. The curriculum that I've researched and plan to purchase will cost over $150 total, once all items are bundled together and taxes/fees area added. Purchasing this will allow me to not only properly organize the class structure, but also provide me with necessary materials to challenge my students while also meeting them where they are. Creating a curriculum that is accessible to all students in my course, ranging from 9th to 12th grade, is important not only for my sake as their teacher, but also important when I am trying to make a course with real-world skills and practice. Skills such as communication, teamwork, and time management are all parts of my class, and I hope to have a curriculum that emphasizes all of these and more.
