With sketchbooks, my students can create art at home or at school. These sketch books will allow students to have freedom in art making regardless of where they are learning. With the concern of supply sharing and sanitation, daily sketching will be a fun, germ-free way for my little artists to learn and apply diverse skills in any setting. Each child will be able to decorate and design the cover of their own book as well as add a colorful binding of their choice. We will also be using these sketchbooks outdoors, drawing objects we observe in nature and participating in conversations about the world around them while also getting out of the classroom. With your donation, children will have access to a personalized method for expressing their creativity that will also become a cherished keepsake full of memories that will last a lifetime. Creating art gives young learners a way to practice a wide range of skills that are useful for life, but also for learning. Some of these skills include cognitive development, fine-motor skills, math, and language. Students will also improve on their abilities to follow step-by-step instructions. I teach approximately 500 students per week so in order to supply every student with their own sketchbook it costs about $2.50 per student. I greatly appreciate you donating to my cause, every little bit helps.
