In our community, students have seen people that don't have access to basic services and hygiene products. As a result of seeing this, the students were concerned and wanted to help. They decided to gift the homeless community small, portable care packages, so that they had access to things that are readily accessible to everyone else. This is a student-driven project, based on research they have done. They have decided that access to toiletries is one of the greatest needs demonstrated in this population. To that end, they would like to offer as much support as possible. Through this project, the students will interact with local families, pastors, churches and community volunteers. We don't take any of these interactions for granted. We believe that these are unique opportunities presented to us to serve others.

About my class
