Hello all! Thanks for visiting! I currently have the rewarding opportunity to provide social, emotional and behavioral supports for today's youth in Hartford, CT as a school social worker. Some may wonder, "What do school social workers do within a school setting?" or "Shouldn't the school fund this?" I personally hold value in implementing evidence based practices and activities within all services provided, no matter the setting. That said, the materials needed in order to do so come at an additional cost, outside of the materials provided for staff. Funding policies in education create many disparities that are beyond you and me to correct. However, I refuse to allow this barrier to be the reason that I fail to provide quality services. If you are able to contribute in any way, your support would be greatly appreciated! I thank you in advance for being apart of this effort. Shine ON !
