We will get to prepare for our field trip by diving deep into the facts and details about penguins. We will get to enhance our reading, writing, and research strategies prior to the trip. All of their hard work will pay off when we get to take our prior knowledge and see it applied in real-time, even when it is virtual. During the field trip students learn biodiversity, animal behavior, adaptations, conservation, life cycle, and STEM careers. They will learn skills for observing, collecting data, problem solving, and design. This is a wonderful way to prove to my students that they can take what they have learned and apply it to real life.

About my class
