For distance learning PE I want students to get outside and get moving. I am asking them to do 10,000 steps a day. If you ask a kid to get moving, some will. However, if you give them the tools to track their progress they are more likely to follow through. I am asking for 20 pedometers so the kids in my class who can't afford one will be given a tool that will help them to set goals for themselves and track their progress. With these pedometers every kid will have the same opportunity to succeed, no matter what their background might be.
