It is widely known that poverty impacts students' academic achievement, leads to poor physical health, and diminishes their ability to concentrate and remember information. Combating poverty is a community wide responsibility and at Crosby High School, our goal is to help meet the holistic needs of our students so that they may develop a positive sense of self and are offered an exceptional educational experience. A clothing rack will help to organize donated clothing for our students in great need. Yoga mats will be used to help our students to learn mindful breathing and stress reduction techniques so that they may focus on what is important: learning, growing, healing, and achieving. Your donations will help with this humanitarian endeavor which will help to promote student attentiveness, curiosity and motivation. Together, these efforts will help to increase student attendance and college/career/life readiness.
