We had a whiteboard easel that was used every day for displaying big books, anchor charts, and illustrating math concepts. The students used it during their writing center to identify capital and lowercase letters and practice writing the day, month, date, and year. Our whiteboard easel is the true centerpiece of my instruction with my Kindergartners at the carpet with me, but unfortunately one of its legs broke off. Receiving an easel would monumentally improve my instructional efficiency, to help my students learn. Additional to the board that fits our overhead projector screen, and the board that houses our daily schedule, calendar, sight words, and 100's chart on our classroom walls, this easel serves multiple purposes and is a dynamic tool that each of us would greatly benefit from.
