One of the biggest challenges my students face is the desire to keep going. They are frequently experiencing failure in the classroom as they struggle with reading, writing, and math. The power of this literature can turn that around. This collection will not only promote literacy but also help them develop resilience, determination, and perseverance. I have borrowed many of these books from other teachers in the past and seen enormous success as they learn from these stories. The time has come to fill my own classroom with these materials so they can be more effectively and efficiently used with ALL of my students.
