Our students with specials needs love spending time in our school's adapted garden. This past year we began phase 1 of constructing our garden and would love to expand. Creating an outdoor classroom/garden, where our students can learn and grow in a safe environment is very important to us. It allows our students to experience vocational opportunities (working in the garden), student-to-student interaction, opportunities to practice communication skills, learn about things related to STEM (science, engineering,, technology, and math), and promote independence. With this project, we are hoping to create pergolas for shade and grow more fruit. The pots will be used to plant more vegetables to harvest during our summer session.
