These computers will provide the technology to be competitive with magnet and suburb schools whom we will face in major tournaments, including regional and state contests. We intend to use these laptops to give the students the data resources to save and examine dozens of debate cases. It also will provide storage of contemporary news and events for speech competitions. The students recognize how much of a disadvantage they face whenever they enter a tournament and see their opponents with laptops while we use traditional paper files. Although the basic skills are the same, the amount of support material often proves to be the factor in determining success past the district level.

About my class
