Teenagers are always hungry and hunger can distract their focus from learning. Many of my students attend both before and after school tutoring to improve their math skills and need a little extra food for brain food. Teenage hunger at school is an issue for all of our students, regardless of income. I want to be able to provide healthy snacks so they can focus on their learning. In addition, having snacks adds an element of fun and satisfaction to a group of teenage students. I have a special tutoring session to prepare students for the state assessment in the spring. I would love to offer a study club environment that provides snacks.
