As a new teacher in a special education class it is important to offer many ways of teaching through sensory, interactive, visual, and vocal instruction. The items I am requesting will help offer that to my students and help them gain independence. Giving them tools to learn how to follow directions and multiple steps provided in the gifted learners kit will lead them to be able to work on vast educational tasks later. Counting cars, using the colorful boxes with matching laminated velcro tasks inside, and finding items in the water beads will make the classroom a positive and encouraging place for all levels of learning. These items will help my students develop skills in all areas including color recognition, addition/subtraction, social skills, and language. The students will be thrilled to incorporate new hands-on tools for their educational journey!
