I am a first year teacher, so as you can imagine I didn't start with many items in my room. Luckily I have an amazing school that was able to help me pull together most of the immediate necessities. How ever there are still several items we would love to have in our classroom. I love adaptive seating so part of my project will be to purchase several adaptive seating options I have chosen Ball Chairs in order to help in them move while they learn. Along with the moving aspect of learning students will also be working their core muscles. Many of my students learn better while they move. I have also included Fraction towers, these will be a resource my students can use when they need to see a physical or visual of the math that others may just get naturally. I always hope to provide multiple resources in order to support all of my students learning and growth. Finally I have asked for several math games that focus on the two third grade skills of multiplication and division, we have been working on these skills for most of the year and I feel that this would provide students a unique learning experience to grow their strategies and skills.
