I believe that my students will benefit from the experience of having a fun and interesting place (a Numbers & Letters Activity Carpet) to start and end their day by immerision into the letters of the alphabet and numbers from 1 to 20 that are a vital skills to have in the modern world. I will design specific activities where students can play fun games, songs and activities using their letters and numbers. I will assign a specific letter each week and add it to the space we sit on as we discuss and review our letter skills. I will also use it to reinforce my students counting skills to twenty by having them use visual, auditory, tactile and kinesthetic activities with their numbers.
