Masks are a great part of the Mardi Gras celebration. With these masks, Students can color and design their own masks. I travel between two schools in Buffalo NY. I never ask the kids to bring in money for anything. I provide all materials for any food or projects in the classroom. These masks purchased for my students would help defray and costs I might personnally absorb. In addition to any food we prepare in the class for Mardi Gras, masks are a great way for students to have a lasting tangible memory of the day. To celebrate Mardi Gras in school, is to open the doorway for students to understand cultures beyond their own experiences.
