As Baileyton transitions to a pre-k through 5th grade school, I realized I need to change my outlook on educating young children. Because I strongly believe young children need more opportunities to foster independence, creativity, problem solving, and developing relationships, I desire to have a center based counseling program that has a focus on dramatic play based on career choices. I will have other types of centers too but I need help getting resources for the career centers. I visualize a classroom where students are discovering their interests and developing their skills through play. Children benefit from child led activities. It seems like a basic concept to allow them to enjoy exploring career based themes. Thank you for giving these students the chance to do that!
