My students are expected to come to class with a Chromebook every day, which is necessary for exploring computer science. However, the reality is that several students show up each day without a Chromebook, and with reasons such as "it's broken" or "I lost it". I want to provide my students with a solution to their problems so that they can be successful in exploring computer science. By having back up Chromebooks in the classroom, those students who arrive "empty handed" cannot use that as an excuse not to work. Instead, providing them with an alternative will allow them to learn by doing in our very interactive class.
