These supplies will enable me to create sensory rooms in two different buildings, to implement yoga practice, mindfulness and decompression activities for multiple students with multiple learning needs. By creating safe spaces with differing sensory materials, my students can access a place that helps them have more positive interactions while developing self- regulation skills that can get them through the day. These students have very different needs, some are non-verbal, some struggle with motor skills, aggression or attentional issues. This variety of sensory supplies, seating, lighting, and mood-regulating toys will help many different students, from grades 6-12 at their specific level of functioning.
