This year, our district will be implementing a very rigorous curriculum for language arts and math. The curriculum requires that we teach 4 anchor texts, but only provides us with a digital copy of each of them. This becomes an issue when students need to read at home, as not all of our students have equal access to technology or access to the internet. All students deserve to have constant and consistent access to literature. I want my students to be able to manipulate the actual pages of the text and read at their own pace, to make their own literary connections and discoveries.

About my class
