Fiction or non-fiction? What happens to the animals that owls eat? That is the question that my first graders will be asked to explore and discover when we begin our research project on "All About Animals" The majority of my students come from homes where English is not their first language. Many of their best experiences come from hands on and interactive projects. By being involved in discovering the answers through experiments with their peers,this learning process will forever have an impact on their young lives.
