Hi, I need your help. I am a first year, first grade teacher and my students need books. I would like to provide fiction as well as non-fiction books with a variety of topics and cultural reference. I want my students to visualize themselves as characters in stories and feel that their voice too is important. I have 15 children assigned to my class roll and I would like to provide enough books to allow my students to have at least 10 books per child to read and browse through daily. Additionally, I would like to have comfortable earphones to listen interactive read alongs. Early literacy set the stage for life-long-love for learning. Please help me enhance my classroom literacy environment to nurture successful readers. Thank you in advance!
