My students are required to use a learning website called i-Ready each day. This website provides students with individual lessons in reading and math based on where they are at academically. This means 28 students are all listening and learning something different. Without headphones this can be extremely distracting and loud. My students are also currently spending learning time looking for headphones, borrowing headphones, or adjusting volume instead of focusing on their lesson. Allowing students to each have their own headphones will allow more time learning and less time distracted. New headphones would also give us the opportunity to use other educational websites throughout the day.
