Our newer classroom had a bunch of empty bookshelves. We've been trying to add a few books to the shelves each year so that our students had some good choices and so that they did not need to leave the classroom to find a great book. As we look to offer our students some time every day to read, we need to have more popular books from great authors to choose from so that they don't need to leave the classroom to get them. By slowly filling our classroom bookshelves, we can offer some incredible book choices and get our students really excited to read which will improve their reading skills.
