Imagine a class where technology meets art! Why technology? If you look around, you will see that art uses various medium to create and inspire the artist within. In products that we buy, design is more than function and art is a critical part. I am creating modules that look at the intersection of technology and art by utilizing 3D printers. This printer will be used with the upper elementary grades to bring their creations from a two-dimensional concept to a three-dimensional piece. We will be visualizing how to create art and develop perspective. My students need the opportunity to be artists and appreciate how various tools can be used by their vision to create art for all to enjoy. Using technology as a tool will be a great addition to our art program.
