My students don't learn using traditional methods and shouldn't be expected to use traditional seating either! Through providing flexible seating options for my students, they can more effectively learn while also meeting their needs for movement and/or stimulation. Traditional chairs at desks is a thing of the past and we must meet the forever changing needs of our students if we want them to grow academically! Using a variety of flexible seating options, my students can learn how they are most comfortable. They can choose to sit in various locations around the room, reducing distractions, and focus more on the task at hand. My goal is to meet ALL the needs of my students and flexible seating is one step closer to that goal!
