A hot dog machine is going to make us all into Superheroes. There have been too many days when I gave away my last snack to a student and had to tell another that It was all I had. I would like to eradicate hunger in my classroom at least for a few minutes at a time. I want my children to know that if they can make it long enough to come to me, there will be at least a hot dog for them. I don't ever want to see the haunting look in the face of a hungry child. I can plan the most amazing lessons and facilitate the most creative activities but my audience when hungry is a feeble audience. I want my children to powered up and be ready to learn. There is hope for our future.
