Graphic novels are fun to read. They are better than a comic book. All school systems want students to read at grade level by grade 3. Many students still struggle. Graphic novels will help those that struggle. Graphic novels help keep the younger, troubled reader involved. By giving elementary students fun books to read they will expand their reading ability without ever realizing what they are doing. When they come to library, they will have an opportunity to create their own graphic story. By being exposed to a few of the authors who focus on graphic novel writing, I hope to let them know they too can create something great to read.

About my class
