There are several students with sensory needs in our class this year. My goal is to create a sensory corner where all students can take a moment to regroup if they are feeling stressed, anxious or overwhelmed. Small items such as fidgets and motion timers will help students to stay focused and on task. Larger items such as an activity board and weighted blanket will give students a chance to step away from a task and reset their minds. Students are better able to focus when they are calm and engaged, which provides better academic achievement and outcomes. By donating to our project, you will be helping all of our students to reach their potential and maintain a mindfulness that will help them be successful!

About my class
