In my kindergarten classroom we are constantly moving around. My kiddos enjoy the freedom of being able to sit in various spots in the room to do our learning. Having an easel in the classroom will allow me and my students the ability to be more mobile with our learning and use the classroom space more. My students are what I call little wiggle monsters and being able to move with the easel and switch where our learning is happening will be key in keeping them engaged and excited about the material we are learning. In addition to making our learning mobile, having an easel will allow for anchor charts that I create with my students about the subject we are learning to be easily posted and visible. We will be able to sit around and create the charts together and be able to reference them throughout the lesson or unit. By donating to our classroom's project, you will not only help to improve and increase student engagement, but also help to increase academic achievement. Students will be able to focus on the material and sit and move around the room to help stay focused and engaged and will be able to reference their learning in an easy and visible location.
