On Sunday Oct. 20, 2019, Dallas, TX saw something that many of us had never seen, let alone experience, in real life. We were hit by a tornado of category F3 with winds of 140 mph. Unfortunately, our school was hit to the point of closure, and the district had to move us to another building quite literally on the opposite side of town. My classroom was a portable, so pretty much everything was swept. I am still in the need of a printer with ink, which was used daily in our upper math level classroom, specifically AP Calculus AB and Algebra II PAP. I was able to recover some of the things that were stored in my small cabinet, but the printer and ink, for example, were not in there. My roof was torn, so the things that did not get blown away got wet by the rain we had later that week. The purple box was where my kids turned in their daily assignments, which was very convenient because I teach multiple classes, so the assortment is a huge plus. Nothing on the list made it back to me, which is why I am asking for them. The first few days were the hardest because we literally did not have anything. It is the small things, like the sharpener and that purple box. Right away, I had kids ask me for a sharpener, or where they would turn in their work, or for an extra copy of the work. Thank you so much for your kindness everyone!
