Math and science are challenging subjects for everyone. As a bilingual teacher, I experience how my students suffer to achieve in these two subjects in a foreign language, which they are not familiar with yet. That is what made me think of creating a friendly environment in the classroom to help in lowering their anxiety and low self-esteem that any of them may encounter. Math problems and science terminologies are very stressful for the kids if they are not presented in a cool and relaxing atmosphere. The desks emphasize the idea of the formal classroom and I want my kids to feel themselves at home when they leave these solid desks and relax on these cozy seats!
