I am so lucky to be in a 1:1 technology school this year. Unfortunately, as lucky as I am, bad things happen. Often times the laptops are not charged, malfunction, or left in their homeroom. We rely on our laptops to complete most of our work. When one is down it puts a strain on the group. We work in small groups and we do not have any type of Smart Board in our room. My iPad is over 10 years old and takes quite a long time to complete some functions. They can use their smart phones but the work is too intricate to use this effectively. I am hoping to add a new iPad that we will be able to use in class as a back up for when something goes wrong. I figure that this would be used by my students daily.
