I have the pleasure of teaching 4th grade this year. My students have been through many changes in the few months before I became their teacher. They experienced two substitute teachers, schedule changes, class changes, and other things that have played a role in how they learn today. When I came on board I was elated and overwhelmed all at the same time. The students welcomed me with open arms and were eager to help me acclimate to the school climate. Now that I'm heading into my third month with them. I've been able to see them flourish in every aspect of learning in just this short time. Together we have created a welcoming community where we help each other when we are down and praise each other when we succeed. They are the future and I just want to make sure that I'm able to give them the proper resources to tackle anything thrown their way in the real world.
