My students are always looking for a comfortable and cozy place in the classroom where they can read, collaborate, and learn. The giant floor pillows will help me create a welcoming and comfortable environment . Having this area will help me create a pro-social environment where students can develop reading skills and oral language skills. Young children need opportunities to move around the classroom as it helps them to refocus their attention. My classroom is furnished with the traditional blue hard plastic and metal chairs which make it difficult for my students to remain seated for the extended periods of time. The floor pillows would be such amazing addition to our classroom environment.
