After teaching a lesson, board games are a great way to check for student understanding while having fun and building student-teacher relationships. I always try to incorporate games and activities to practice learned skills, and could use some lower elementary aged games. I'm requesting Gray & Play Math and Pop & Learn! Letters & Numbers games and Number Bots. I’d also like the Reading Comprehension Daily Practice Journals to give students some independent work to do while I provide direct instruction to another group of students. I rotate groups so that all students get a chance to receive direct instruction, then a chance to practice the skills they learn while others are getting direct instruction. This will ease the load on prep time needed to find and prepare supplemental materials for groups not receiving direct instruction. With only one teacher and students on multiple grade levels, the prep builds up!
