Our students love our school pet turtle "Mishell"! However, many of our students and teachers have become concerned about her well being and happiness. She is currently in a "too small" aquarium without proper lighting that is not fitting her needs. These supplies would allow us to create a happier and healthier environment for Mishell that would assist in teaching students about appropriate pet care, animal habitats, and increasing their empathy for others! With these supplies, I am going to create a "Turtle Club" with fourth graders that will help educate these students on reptile care and give them opportunity to share in taking responsibility for caring for Mishell.

About my class
