As students learn new things throughout the year they make these new ideas their own through dramatic play in the classroom. It would be amazing to create a space for them to pretend they are in a bakery, restaurant, construction site, campsite, or aquarium. In order to make these experiences a reality, I need to provide my students with exciting and creative tools. Including but not limited to: clothes, pretend food, tool sets, and animals. By receiving the materials I am requesting, students in my classroom will have the freedom to create new and exciting experiences; that they may not get to encounter outside of the classroom. By providing opportunities for students to use their imagination and creativity with their peers, they become more open as learners. They are more likely to engage in challenging work with a positive attitude. While ultimately learning how to contribute to their communities with insightful and creative problem solving skills.
