Receiving donations will benefit my students to providing the supplies needed to participate in hands on projects that will help them pass to the next grade level in May of this year. For instance, the wall clock will help us we are working on learning to tell time in math, the earphones will help us with assistive technology and computer assignments. Snacks and water motivate my students to keep going when they get hungry after lunch toward the end of the day and are also used as treats and incentives to students who have challenges with following instructions and behavior management. Thank you for your kind consideration, by donating to our project, we are focusing on a huge ongoing literacy and math project, which is a compilation of differentiated assignments that when completed will allow each student to reach their academic, IEP and behavioral goals written in their annual plan, you are helping increase the students ability to be creative. It would be wonderful to be blessed with the supplies we are requesting, they will allow my students to complete classwork without having to share or borrow from other classrooms. At the end of the project and the year, each student will be able to chart their own progress and celebrate their success beginning from where they are now to where they will be in May on a wall poster. All students can learn and it is important not only to have materials but to have quality material that are in great condition. As a special education teacher, I believe that our students deserve the best and deserve to be treated equal and have a chance to be independent, self-determined and self sufficient and having supplies will enable them to do so.
