Many of our students don't have access to books at home and therefore don't view them as something of importance or something that they might find interesting to read for fun. Graphic novels have changed that in a big way! When we have these materials in the library, students can't get enough of them, and having access to these books helps them to not only love going to the library, but leads them on to more book adventures! Unfortunately, most often I have to tell students that these books are currently unavailable because we don't have enough to go around. Adding these books to our current library will help to hook our "reluctant readers" so that they can experience the joy and adventure that can take them away from their current circumstances and lead them into a world of endless possibilities!
