We will be using the ukuleles once or twice a week, depending on what my lesson plans dictate. The students will be learning about stringed instruments and how sound is produced, and what type of music the ukulele is suited for. We will also be reviewing basic music theory, while learning to play the ukulele. This is not a well known instrument, but very interesting and a great place to start and then graduate from there to more complex instruments. My students are excited about learning to play. It is a well known fact that learning to play an instrument significantly adds to their overall educational success.
