These books will enhance our historical fiction unit. Reading, Home of the Brave, will enable my students to gain a better understanding of both our culture and the culture of others. Our school has a very diverse population and through Global themed books I hope that relationships will develop and students will embrace students from other cultures. By donating to this project my students will have the opportunity to discuss topics that arise in the book and develop an appreciation for their own cultural heritage as well as others. Due to Covid students will need their own copies of the book. It will make a difference in the way they see others from different backgrounds.

About my class
